Meet Heather M. Sekella
Skilled Family Law Attorney Serving Manchester
Manchester family lawyer Heather M. Sekella was born and raised in New Hampshire. She and her husband have been married since 1991 and are raising their 2 daughters in a rural New Hampshire community. After practicing family law as a partner in a growing firm with four other attorneys and seven support staff, at Clark & Sekella (formerly Clark Law Offices), Attorney Sekella decided to "get back to basics" and go solo. Heather opened her firm in June, 2007 with a goal of providing quality family law legal services in a small client-centered office setting. She knows all of her clients by face and by name. The office is still small, but growing as the needs of her clients and firm change.
Education & Achievements
Heather graduated cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management and then obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Notre Dame College in 1992 where she majored in Paralegal Studies. Heather worked as a paralegal for over 6 years before attending law school at Franklin Pierce Law Center (now UNH School of Law) in 1994.
Attorney Sekella is admitted to practice law in the state and federal courts in New Hampshire. Heather is a member of the American Bar Association Family Law Section, New Hampshire Bar Association Family Law Section, Manchester Bar Association and New Hampshire Women's Bar Association. Heather is also working on her certification in the AACFL (The American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators).
About Attorney Sekella
Heather enjoys spending time with her family and summers are especially fun with swimming, boating and water skiing. It is important to Heather and her family to volunteer for school and community events and fundraisers. Heather and her family support special causes like the fight for diabetes and alzheimers research as well as making contributions to disaster relief, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Salvation Army and local food banks, local police and fire and the ASPCA.
Heather and her family are especially fond of dogs - the red and black Doberman Pinscher is a family favorite for over 20 years. Her black male, Gunther is very loveable—yes, loveable! Attorney Sekella also encourages her daughters' various interests and strengths in academics like English and science, as well as extracurricular activities like ballet, band, chorus, theater, basketball, and lacrosse. Her husband thinks she lives vicariously through their daughters because she can't dance, can't sing, and can't jump. Lucky for you she hasn’t quit her day job!
