Elissa originally began her family law career with Sekella Law and proved to be a favorite amongst clients, especially those with the most emotional and complex cases. After relocating to Portland, Maine, she was fortunate enough to gain significant experience in criminal defense, specifically cases with underlining family law issues. Throughout her career, Elissa worked for various firms that held practices in civil, commercial and business litigation, arbitration, immigration, personal injury, real estate and criminal defense. Elissa is thrilled to be back in New Hampshire as a family law paralegal working for "the best, most compassionate legal team in the country" (her exact words).
As a child of multiple custody matters, Elissa's parents divorced, remarried, and thus, she wholeheartedly understands the many aspects of these cases, how each circumstance is unique, and how the outcome will affect the lives of all parties involved. Elissa is able to sympathize with clients on a personal level, yet experienced enough to assist you in the most efficient way possible.
In addition, Elissa has taken multiple career training courses for research and investigation. Although she is not yet a licensed private investigator, she has the resources and fundamental knowledge to obtain information of all sorts - should a case call for these services.
In her free time, you can find Elissa visiting various assisted living homes with her dog, Lucy. She frequently paints and creates artwork which she hopes to share with the world someday soon.
